COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Patient,

Thank you for choosing Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center for your healthcare needs. It is our privilege to care for you during your time with us.

We are closely monitoring the outbreak of the novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19), and we continue to work with Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, State of Texas Health Officials, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to any potential COVID-19 cases in our area.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are pre-screening all patients and visitors to Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center. We are asking patients, family members and visitors not to come to the facility if they have a fever or respiratory symptoms like a cough, or who have traveled outside the U.S. Family members and visitors who are sick and who do come to the facility may be asked to seek treatment or may be denied entry. This will help us minimize any potential contamination. Please communicate this with your loved ones who may want to visit or accompany you during your time with us. Additionally, we are asking that patients limit visitors to 1 per patient (parent/guardian for pediatric patients), preferably an adult that will be driving you home following your procedure. The visitor will be asked to wait in their car during your procedure as we have shut down our waiting room to practice social distancing.

Please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of our care team who can help address any of your questions or concerns.

We are committed to keeping our patients, our staff and our community safe by following local, state, and federal guidelines. Thank you for choosing Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center. It is our pleasure to serve you.

Direct Screen Colonoscopy Program

Colorectal cancer is the No. 2 cancer killer in the U.S. The good news … It’s preventable.

The American Cancer Society recently changed their recommended age for first colon screening for average-risk patients from 50 to 45. The main reason for the change is due to the rise in colorectal incidence rates in a younger population over the last few years.

At Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center, we make screening for colorectal cancer easy. Our Direct Screen Colonoscopy Program© is a no-hassle, lower-cost, and patient-centered approach to colorectal cancer screening.

Three Easy Steps

null

Ask your primary care physician to schedule your colonoscopy through the Direct Screen Colonoscopy program at Hill Country Ambulatory Surgery Center OR call our facility to schedule today.

Before your colonoscopy, a nurse will call you to ask about your prior medical history, to discuss pre-op instructions – this is when you learn how to clean your colon, and find out what you can and cannot drink until after your procedure.

On the day of your procedure, you show up and we do the rest!

It’s the easiest thing you can do for yourself to prevent colorectal cancer because when caught early, colorectal cancer is HIGHLY curable!

There is no reason to wait, no reason to hesitate – it’s your life, be around to live it.
